Terms and Conditions

Dr Mary’s Knowledge Tree is committed to promoting and encouraging participation in  education and training activities that are designed to meet  the values & objectives of health and social care provision.

All staff within this sector, whether public, private, charitable or voluntary, have a personal responsibility to keep themselves up to date in order to undertake the job / role they are paid for, and to keep the people they support safe.  Employers too, have responsibilities under the Health & Safety At Work Act 1974 and other legislation, to ensure their staff are competent to perform the role for which they are employed.

Dr Mary believes that the education, training and development of the health & social care workforce is especially important in relation to:

Attracting & maintaining a diverse and representative workforce which is committed and able to meet the demands of providing a quality service in an ever-changing care environment.

Induction & orientation of new employees.

Keeping employees up to date and abreast of new knowledge, equipment, methods and techniques in relation to their work, updating knowledge and skills so as to enable employees to retain and improve their abilities, efficiency and motivation.

The general continuing development of employees, through,  for instance, educational courses, leading to professional certification, or non-qualification courses providing advanced knowledge in an appropriate discipline.

Course Cancellation Policy

We understand that from time to time, you may need to alter your plans to attend a course being delivered by Dr Mary’s Knowledge Tree.

In the event that you cannot attend a course for which you have registered, please be advised of the following cancellation policy:

  • More than 30 days notice: Full refund minus £15.00 administration fee.
  • 15 – 30 days notice : 20% of the tuition fee is forfeited (a minimum of £15 will be deducted for administration fee).
  • 5 – 14 days notice: 50% of the tuition fee is forfeited (a minimum of £15 will be deducted for administration fee).
  • Less than 3 days notice / no notice /No show : 100% of the tuition fee is forfeited.

Dr Mary’s Knowledge Tree reserves the right to postpone or cancel a course if there are insufficient numbers to cover central costs. Where possible this decision will be taken no later than 1 week before the course date and all potential participants will be informed as soon as possible and any fees fully refunded or an alternative date will be offered.

A change of delegate’s name will be accepted at any time with no cost incurred.
